I'm pleased to report that although the Royal Mail have not completely resolved the recent international postage issues we are now once again able to ship smaller international orders by post again. I've left the option of Parcelforce in place for all available destinations, so you'll now get a choice of shipping method at the checkout. Parcelforce is a fully tracked service which is faster than Airmail, but not as fast as using a "proper" courier such as Fedex, TNT or DHL. In most cases it should arrive within a week, although this also depends on how quickly it gets processed by customs in the destination country (although this also affects Airmail and regular courier services).

I'm very sorry to report that we're currently unable to dispatch overseas orders by Airmail due to an ongoing issue with the Royal Mail. The Royal Mail was hit by a ransomware attack on Wednesday the 11th of January which has left it unable to process outgoing international mail shipments. We were rather hoping this would be resolved quickly enough not to cause any issues for us, but as of this morning (18th of January), the problem is still ongoing with no sign of when normal service will be resumed. The lack of information from the Royal Mail isn't helping much, and it seems the problem is also affecting their online tracking for parcels, so if information doesn't seem to be being updated for your order then please accept our apologies. After the problems caused by the industrial action of postal workers in November and December frankly another issue with post is really not something we need right now!
As of the moment there is very little we can do other than disabling postage as a shipping option, which will take some time to do as its quite an complex process.
This blog will be updated as and when further information becomes available.
Updated 23-01-2023: The shipping options for all small international orders were updated on 20-01-2023 to remove all airmail options. The Royal Mail are currently trialling some fixes to their systems and I'm optimistic that normal service should be resumed within a week or so. All smaller website orders, which would ordinarily go via Airmail, will now be dispatched using the least expensive courier option available.
Once normal service is resumed all Airmail options will be re-instated immediately, although we will keep the option of using a courier service as an alternative to airmail. The delivery speed of Airmail (especially within Europe) has dropped off significantly in the last few years and now seems to average 2-3 weeks instead of roughly 10 days as it always used to be.
Please note that Airmail services for South Africa and the Republic of Ireland will remain suspended until such a time as the postal services in these countries shows a decent level of improvement and international cooperation. In the case of South Africa some postal orders have taken well over six months to arrive, which is a long way beyond what we consider acceptable. The Irish postal service

I notice its been some time since our last blog post, so I thought I had better update you all on how things have changed for orders, mainly how EU orders have now changed but also a few points for our UK and "rest of world" customers as well. As of January the first this year the UK has officially ceased to be a member of the European Union, which brings a whole new selection of issues for us, and of course for our customers. I'll try to keep it brief and to the point!
Orders which are destined to be delivered to any of the remaining EU member states (hopefully you know who you are!) will no longer be subject to VAT (UK sales tax of 20%) at the checkout. While at first this seems like a bargain please be aware that depending on your own country's import rules you may be charged (usually by the delivery agent on behalf of your own government) customs processing fees, import duty and your local equivalent of VAT (called IVA, BTW, TVA and a variety of other

With the current worldwide health crisis affecting all of us we'd just like to keep you informed of how we're currently planning to operate until normal service is resumed. As many of our international customer are probably unware the UK has recently taken the sensible desicion to close all schools, colleges, nurseries and universities until further notice. In all likelihood this will not be until September. This will leave Jaymic Ltd operating at a substancially reduced staffing level until the schools reopen and as such we're having to take a few steps to ensure as normal a service as possible is maintained throughout.
Firstly as of Monday the 23rd of March we will be keeping the sales phone lines off until 12 noon each day. They will then be turned off again at 4pm. This will allow us to concentrate on wrapping and dispatching website orders as a proirity in the mornings and respond to any urgent messages. In the event that any of our staff display
Well, its taken a little longer than we thought it would (I never realised project creep happened to websites as well!) but the all new Jaymic Ltd website is finally up and running. You'll find many new features have been implemented, and hopefully all the bugs and frustrations from our old site are gone for good!
The main changes you'll find are that we've gone for a bit more inclusion of other classic BMW models, and although the product ranges for the NK, E21, E30, E12, E28, E24, E23 and E3 are still a little slim compared to our 2002 and E9 sections these will be built up over time.
Why not have a look around and see what's new, any (constructive!) feedback would be welcomed, so please feel free to email us at email@example.com with suggestions for improvements. Up at the top of the page you'll find links to other classic BMW websites and resources, a selection of our favourite BMW videos from around the world wide web and lots of thrilling text regarding delivery
